Cayey it's a beautiful town surrounding by mountains I used to work there in Public Plaza back in 2004 in front of the Church named; Parroquia Nuestra Sra. de la Asuncion.

This church was built between 1850 -1853. It's a Spanish Colonial Style.

If you see my Youtube video you can see the Church inside and the Public Plaza, back when I video the area was not open for the public, I hope it's open by now for you to see. See video download. @ 2022

La Concha Acustica - The Acoustic Conch Amphitheater.

The Public Plaza its Open now when I did the video was closed but I enter and took video of every detail. I went a few days ago and it was full of people and the have the new Carousel working. And you can find few restaurants around the plaza some have upper terrace.

This is the townhall from Cayey I'm not sure if they move to another building in front of the Public Plaza but it's on the streets also most in front of the Public Plaza the one from this photo.

When the Mayor was doing the new Plaza, they discover 300- 500 humans
bones in front of the Church; Nuestra Señora de la Asunción.

The bones they are assumed to be from the year 1600-1700

This Plaza is name and dedicated to the Painter Ramón Frade León and his work.

The actual name of the church was given by the Jesuitas when they took the monastery by 1865. I have to say I never saw this Church inside so I'm happy to hear that is finally open.

Puerto Rico Gothic Church Our Lady of Lourdes see photos and video by Sylvette Travels

Gothic Church Nuestra Señora de Lourdes in Miramar San Juan, Puerto Rico. The land was acquired in 1906 and the first stone was placed in 1907. The design of the chapel was made by  Czech   architect   Antonin Nechodoma , who lived in Puerto Rico. The chapel was finally opened in 1908. Initially, the chapel was used by a  Methodist Episcopal church . After that, it was occupied by the Union Church. Owners Pedro Santiago and Catalina Mejía de Santiago gave the building as a present to the  Roman Catholic Archdiocese of San Juan de Puerto Rico  on February 17, 1959. Due to its unique architecture and historic nature, the chapel was included on the  National Register for Historic Places  on September 25, 1984.  Info by Wikipedia.
