History:

Colegio San Antonio (CSA) was founded in Río Piedras in 1928 by Fray Antonio de Castillo, O.F.M. CAP., who was Principal and Principal of the College until 1931.

During these first three years, Mexican Franciscan Sisters and several lay teachers taught the classes. In 1931, Fr. Gilbert Stickelmaier, O.F.M. Cap., was appointed Principal of the College, and the Franciscan Sisters of Pittsburgh arrived at the College. In 1978-79, the College was run by the Archdiocese of San Juan. Since 1979, the Friars Minor Capuchin have been running the school again. Since its inception, the school has grown and progressed both in its educational part and in its physical and extracurricular aspects.

Colegio San Antonio offers classes from kindergarten to twelfth grades. It has well-equipped laboratories at its three levels (elementary, intermediate and superior), home economics room, computers, music, art, libraries, audio-visual resource center, gymnasium, courts, ball field, track and field area, a comfortable auditorium, school cafeteria, infirmary, a chapel, and photography laboratory, among other facilities.

The main purpose of St. Anthony's College education is to cooperate with God's grace in the formation of an authentic Christian. By implementing a rigorous educational program, the College prepares students for their current and future lives. The College is licensed to operate in Puerto Rico the General Council of Education. It is accredited in all its grades by the Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools.

The curriculum of the College is preparatory for college. The student who graduates from the College is prepared to perform successfully in any Puerto Rican or North American university.

16th Century Church of San Jose in Old San Juan Puerto Rico Its Finally Open! After almost 20yrs of reconstructions History is safe once again. This Church is the most antique from USA and is located in Old San Juan Puerto Rico. The Church of San Jose in Old San Juan is constructed by the years 1532 -1735 by the orders of the Dominicos. The actual name of the church was given by the Jesuitas when they took the monastery by 1865. I have to say I never saw this Church inside so I'm happy to hear that is finally open.

Gothic Church Nuestra Señora de Lourdes in Miramar San Juan, Puerto Rico. The land was acquired in 1906 and the first stone was placed in 1907. The design of the chapel was made by  Czech   architect   Antonin Nechodoma , who lived in Puerto Rico. The chapel was finally opened in 1908. Initially, the chapel was used by a  Methodist Episcopal church . After that, it was occupied by the Union Church. Owners Pedro Santiago and Catalina Mejía de Santiago gave the building as a present to the  Roman Catholic Archdiocese of San Juan de Puerto Rico  on February 17, 1959. Due to its unique architecture and historic nature, the chapel was included on the  National Register for Historic Places  on September 25, 1984.  Info by Wikipedia.
